So a slow start to the day got me to the border at 3 oclock.  I was originally headed to the detroit crossing but saw sighns for london and got scared so didnt get on the 403......not sure what it is with London.  Anyway  I was held up at the border for about 3 hours cause they were a little unsure if i was ever going to come back to canada?  Made it out and rode for about an hour before some pretty serious rain and darkness where all i could see was shiny road ahead and the odd cow.......jersey i believe.  These parts are farm parts.  Gowanda, NY is where i ended up and although it is not far I feel acomplished having made it through the state border!!!!   THe adventure begins....

Sprockets a Go Go

So the front sprocket.....(drive i believe it is called) bolt came off kinda scary easy.  One twist with my 2 fingers.  There was Thank goodness for the lock washer.
There was a bit of a problem getting the chain to break.  Didnt have a chain breaker.  My dad got in there with his oxy-acetylene torch and cut the chain right off.  Thanks dad!  I was a bit worried that was a bad idea but with very little fireworks the chain was slipped right off.
As I write this I have yet to put the new chain on..........leave it at that.

Counting continues

Mix ups at the bike shop and the wind is howling the leaves off the trees.
Going to try to install sprockets and chain myself..... see how that goes.  Thinking i will be leaving Monday or Tuesday.

The count down begins :)

    I am wrapping up jobs.  What a busy season.  Getting the bike ready.....waiting for sprockets to come in....hooking up my electric jacket wires.  Stocking the kitchen.  Lots still to do and the weather is teasing me.  Happy thanks giving.  What can i give?  Thinking it will be the end of next week when i get out there on the road........i have been instructed by a friend not to use the term "hit the road".
Still asking myself what this things is going to be about.  Like everything esle in my life just going to let it unfold and not try to think to hard.  Heh.
